About Us
As a fashion designer and a personal trainer, I created the best for you ladies. I know exactly what you need and how joyful you want to feel while exercising.
The company was established in December 2020 introducing its line across the Middle east and we also ship worldwide an opportunity for all sports and yoga lovers to enjoy our outstanding apparel.
Butterfly activewear wants you to believe in yourself and find your own happiness by combining fashion and sports.
Our founder
Butterfly Activewear founder Nadiya Mezoud is a Dubai-based entrepreneur, fitness enthusiast and fashion designer. As a personal trainer and yoga teacher, Nadiya spotted a niche in the activewear market for clothing that was comfortable and easy to wear but also stylish. Most activewear brands at the time offered high performance or beautiful style – but not both.
With this in mind Nadiya created Butterfly Activewear from her bedroom as a side-hustle in 2019, and during Covid built a vibrant community of fellow fashion and fitness lovers as the brand went from strength to strength.
Nadiya is fashion-obsessed and completed her fashion design diploma in instituo di Moda Burgo Milano. Created using a combination of her unique fitness knowledge, creative flair and eye for detail, Butterfly Activewear is stunning and stylish yet super-comfortable and easy to wear, designed using premium quality materials for enhanced performance and loved by fitness professionals, athletes and trainers worldwide.
When she’s not working out or teaching clients and classes, Nadiya loves travelling the world and exploring new cultures, spending time with her fur-babies Chloe and Gucci and cooking delicious, healthy food.

Our story
Founded in 2019, Butterfly Activewear was created to address a gap in the market for beautiful, high-performance fitness clothing designed with comfort and style in mind.
Our first collection went live in December 2020 – since then, we’ve expanded and developed our range at the request of our community with daywear, accessories and jackets.
Founder Nadiya Mezoud is a true perfectionist, spending over 12 months meticulously planning and developing our collections before launch. Each design is unique and created by hand from start to finish, from carefully sourcing fabrics and travelling the world reviewing and vetting suppliers to real-world performance testing with top personal trainers and fitness professionals.

We’re passionate about celebrating women of all sizes at all stages of life and their fitness journeys. The butterfly is a symbol of beauty and freedom, chosen because it represents transformation, growth and positive change. Just like the butterfly, we can endure difficult times and emerge more beautiful, powerful and free than we were before – something many women experience during their fitness journey and in life.
